We are absolutely delighted to announce that Kimberley Caravans has been awarded Silver in the Caravan Owner Satisfaction Awards 2025! This recognition is a huge honour, as it is based on real feedback from caravan owners across the UK, making it one of the most respected awards in the industry.
This is our second prestigious award this year, having also been named Caravan Dealership of the Year Runner-Up in an independent survey through Out and About Live—a fantastic achievement that reflects our commitment to delivering quality products and excellent customer service.
The Caravan Owner Satisfaction Awards, organized by The Camping and Caravanning Club, are based on in-depth feedback from thousands of caravan and motorhome owners. The results come directly from those who use their vehicles year-round, rating everything from build quality to dealer service and aftercare. Winning Silver is a testament to our dedication to ensuring our customers receive the very best experience when purchasing and maintaining their caravans.
Kimberley Caravans started in the 1970s when Michael Lowe, a passionate and experienced caravan salesman, rented a small plot on our current Nottingham site. From these modest beginnings, Kimberley has grown into one of the UK’s largest caravan and motorhome dealerships, with branches across the North East and East Midlands.
Today, the business is run by Michael’s son, Chris Lowe, who continues to drive Kimberley forward, ensuring we remain at the forefront of the industry. Under his leadership, we are moving from strength to strength, expanding our range of top-brand caravans—including Swift & Coachman—and maintaining our reputation for outstanding customer service.
We want to say a massive thank you to all our customers who took the time to vote for us. Your support means the world to us, and we look forward to helping even more of you find your perfect caravan or motorhome in the years to come!
Here’s to many more adventures, and finding you your dream caravan.
Let’s be honest—family holidays can be magical, chaotic, or somewhere in between. Add in the freedom of a motorhome, and you've got the ingredients for both adventure and the occasional squabble over whose turn it is to sleep on the top bunk. But before you can hit the road and make memories in Scarborough or the Scottish Highlands, you need to know: which motorhome is actually built for family life?
Let’s not beat around the bush—trying to reverse a caravan into a tight pitch or squeeze it onto a narrow drive can turn a peaceful getaway into a full-blown argument. Sound familiar? You’re not alone. That’s where the humble motor mover comes in. It's one of those gadgets that doesn’t look all that flashy but can completely change your towing experience. If you’re new to caravanning, or you’ve just bought your first tourer, you might be wondering what exactly a motor mover is, how it works, whether it’s worth the money—and which one’s the right fit.
Let’s unpack it all.
So, you’ve heard the name Coachman floating around in caravan circles—probably with words like “well-built,” “top-end,” or even “posh” attached. But are they actually any good? Worth the price tag? Built to last? Or are you just paying extra for a shiny badge and a soft-close drawer?
Let’s not waffle—here’s what you really need to know.
